Manitoba Homecoming 2010 Selects Official Anthems:
Keith and Renee’s “Good Year” Rocks the Province

(Winnipeg, MB – January 4, 2010) It may be just a few days into 2010, but it’s already a very “Good Year” for Winnipeg pop/rock duo, Keith and Renee.

Today, Manitoba Homecoming 2010 officially announced Keith and Renee’s tune “Good Year” as its official theme song, alongside Bachman Turner Overdrive’s “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet.”

“It’s really cool. It’s definitely an honour. Considering all the songs that are out there, for Manitoba Homecoming to pick ours is pretty amazing,” said Renee Lamoureux, who makes up half of Keith and Renee, alongside band mate Keith Macpherson.

Lamoureux says it’s a delight to be in the same realm as rock icon Randy Bachman. “Randy Bachman is a legend. You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet is a huge song, and I feel humbled by the whole thing. It’s a huge honour for ours to be alongside that song.”

“Good Year” has already been catapulted into thousands of Manitoba homes, thanks to it’s inclusion in Manitoba Homecoming 2010’s TV and radio advertisements. The ads are airing on stations ranging from CTV, to CJOB and Hot 103. “Good Year” is also featured on the Manitoba Homecoming 2010 website

Keith and Renee recently headlined at 2010: The Concert at the Forks on January 2, part of the Homecoming year-long celebrations. Lamoureux looks forward to where else “Good Year” may take them.

“I feel there is still so much life in that song. We released the album three years ago, and are currently remixing Good Year. It’s definitely the type of song many people can relate to. It’s a good sing along tune.”

This is gonna be a good year
