Australia’s Jetty Road gets ready to rock Cavendish Beach Music Festival
Canadian tour comes hot on heels of a new single, video and album
(June 9, 2011 – Winnipeg, MB) – On Ramp Records recording artist Jetty Road will travel half-way across the world to play the esteemed Cavendish Beach Music Festival (July 7-10, 2011). The Cavendish appearance marks Jetty Road’s first foray to Prince Edward Island – and is Jetty Road’s first stop in their upcoming Canadian tour.

Jetty Road is a band with a strong Canadian connection and fan base. For the past three years, Australia’s “Country Group of the Year” (2010 CMA Australia) has called Canada its second home. In 2010, the band toured relentlessly across the ‘Canadian Outback’- stopping at every radio station en route to major country music festivals and high-profile showcases (Havelock Jamboree, Capitol Hoedown, CCMA Kick-Off, BCCMAs and others). Last summer, the band’s first single, “Let it Out”, off the new album Far Away Places cracked the Top 50 on the Mediabase country chart and was added to close to 60 radio stations across Canada.
With a number of tracks on Far Away Places featuring co-writes with Canadian country superstars including Jason McCoy, Kathleen Higgins and more, Jetty Road hopes to build on its Canadian radio presence. The new album also features a co-write and duet with George Canyon – Canada’s most played Canadian country music artist for the past two years.

And judging by the success of their newest single “Serves You Right”, 2011 will be a breakthrough year for Jetty Road. The video for “Serves You Right” has been added into medium rotation on CMT Canada and is being featured on CMT USA's website CMT.com. The song also continues to receive airplay on country radio - added or featured on dozens of radio stations across North America.
Jetty Road’s fourth CD, Far Away Places (released by On Ramp Records (EMI)) in Canada will be available for sale everywhere and at Music Max on June 28, 2011.
