JETTY ROAD RETURNS TO NORTH AMERICA IN 2009; RELEASES HIT SINGLE

 

(Winnipeg – April 13, 2009) Jetty Road is triumphantly returning to North America this summer and will share stages with some of the biggest country artists in the world including, Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw.

After an enormously successful 2008 North American debut at Dauphin’s Countryfest in Canada – the band will take to the stage at some of the biggest country festivals in Canada and the U.S. such as Merritt Mountain Music Festival, WE Fest and Big Valley Jamboree.

April 2009 sees the release of Jetty Road's brand new album, Life at a Million Miles, through Compass Bros Distribution in Australia. This is the third album released by the Victorian quartet. Its previous albums, Full Circle released in 2005 and Dirt Roads City Lights released in 2007 saw the band attract the attention of the country music industry at home and around the world.

After releasing its debut single “Run to You” in 2005, the band has had five tracks in the top 20 on Australian radio. Jetty Road’s first single from Life at a Million Miles – “Good Times”- rocketed to the #2 position this spring for 4 weeks on Aussie radio charts. “Good Times” follows the success of “City Lights” from Dirt Roads, City Lights.  “City Lights” topped the Country Music Channel (CMC) chart Down Under last summer.

Jetty Road has also won some of the most prestigious industry awards in Australia: TIARA Award for Best Group (2008 / 2009) and the Victorian Album of the Year at the 2008 Victorian and National Country Music Awards. In January 2008, they were honoured with a finalist nomination at the 36th Country Music Awards of Australia for Best Group.

Jetty Road will release its newest hit single “Good Times” to North American radio through Sound Strategy Music in May 2009 to coincide with its performances this summer.
