Lisa Saunders has a life-long passion for promoting, supporting and nurturing music and the arts. As an award-winning news anchor and reporter, she brought the stories of many musical acts to the forefront of the Canadian media: including the Backstreet Boys, Alanis Morrisette, the Barenaked Ladies, Diana Krall, Ellis Marsalis, Jr., Natalie Cole, Rush, Odds and Reba McEntire. Lisa has worked for just about all the major networks, including MuchMusic, Bravo!, Global, Citytv, CTV and more.Needless to say, she has enormous inside media connections from coast-to-coast.
She has worked in major Canadian markets such as Toronto, Calgary and Winnipeg and maintains constant contact with many of her former colleagues who are now industry leaders within the media. A devoted lover of new music, Lisa is also a musician who has been writing and recording music for the past 15 years. She is a relentless cheerleader for the independent musician and is always willing to tap into her experience to promote Sound Strategy Music artists.
She believes in “kicking it old school,” having graduated with honours from Red River College’s journalism, public relations and advertising program.
Rob is a relentless champion for the independent musician. Specializing in publicity and radio promotion, he loves all kinds of music including, folk, country, smooth jazz and pop!
With over 15 years of communications experience, including editorial positions (senior producer, lead news anchor and reporter) at CTV, Global, Corus Entertainment and as a former music journalist (Power 97 Winnipeg, Access Magazine and Shaw TV), Rob understands what the media wants and leverages that experience in the best interest of Sound Strategy Music artists. Furthermore, Rob has led publicity campaigns in the arts, non-profit, government and corporate sectors; and applies that experience to build partnerships between musicians and important stakeholders.
Rob has a degree in communications from the University of Winnipeg. In addition, he has a diploma in public relations from the University of Winnipeg's Division of Continuing Education and has also completed its Certificate in Management program.
